Help with MiniMig

Open the game

How do I install MiniMig?

Open the game and tap For grown-ups among the buttons at the top. There you will find instructions for iPhone, iPad and Android, plus an install button if your browser supports it.

Why does it take time the first time?

The first time, the figure and the essentials have to download to the device – about 25 MB. Clothes, hair, moves and pets download the first time they are chosen, so they may take a moment to appear. If your child uses everything, the game takes up about 120 MB. After that the files are on the device, so the game opens faster. Wi-Fi is a good idea the first time.

Can I play without internet?

Yes. The first time the game is opened with internet, the essentials are saved: the figure, the standard hair, the icons and the backgrounds. Under For grown-ups it says when the game can be used without internet. Clothes, hair, hats and moves are saved the first time your child uses them, so whatever your child has played with also works without internet. If the browser clears the files because it is short of space, they download again the next time there is internet.

How is the figure saved?

The latest figure is remembered automatically in this browser. With ⭐ Save your child can save figures and profile pictures in My figures and bring them back later. At the top of My figures are the children, each with their own MiniMig – when a child taps their picture, the figure gets that child’s MiniMig on, and their stars come along. With the camera, a picture of the figure can be saved or shared through the device’s own share menu – but only after a grown-up has solved a math problem. If you clear the website’s data, figures, stars and offline files are deleted. Another browser or an installed web app may have separate storage.

How do I add brothers and sisters?

Open My figures and tap Children and players – for grown-ups at the bottom. Solve the math problem. Build the first child’s figure, write a name if you like, and tap 📷. Tap ➕ New player for the next child, build that figure, and tap 📷 next to that child.

What are the stars and coins?

Your child gets stars in the games – and never loses any. They turn into play coins in your child’s account: 1 coin per star at the easiest level and up to 5 at the hardest. Under 🏆 Stars and coins you will find the account, the records in each game, the Star Shop and the list of what your child has bought. In the shop your child pays by tapping coins up until the amount is right; 🤝 Help lays them out. Nothing can be bought with real money.

How do I turn off the sound?

Tap 🔊 Sound and solve the math problem. Here you can turn music, sound effects and the voice on and off separately. The 🎵 button on the picture turns off the music right away.

Why does it ask for the microphone?

Under the Name tab your child can record their own name. The first time, the device asks for permission to use the microphone. The recording is kept on the device only. If you say no, everything else works as before.

How do I update?

It happens by itself. When MiniMig is used with internet, a new version downloads in the background and starts being used the next time the game is opened or put away – never in the middle of play. The figure is kept in the browser’s local storage.

Which screen do you recommend?

MiniMig works best on an iPad, a tablet or a computer, with plenty of room for both the figure and the choices. On a computer, just open minimig.dk in the browser. The figure is in 3D, so very old devices may be a little slow. On an iPhone, try turning the phone sideways if the screen feels cramped.

How do I change the language?

Tap the globe among the buttons at the top of the game. It switches between English and Danish, and the figure stays as it is.
